Full residential tear-off and roof replacement completed in Penfield, New York.
This roof replacement project was completed on a residential home in Penfield, NY near the Four Corners area and just minutes from Route 441 and Penfield High School. The existing roof had reached the end of its service life and showed wear along the ridge, flashing points, and eave lines. The homeowner elected to proceed with a full system replacement rather than patch repairs.
Project Scope
The project included complete tear-off of the existing asphalt shingles, inspection of roof decking, installation of new underlayment, ice and water protection at eaves and valleys, flashing replacement, ridge ventilation integration, and installation of CertainTeed Landmark Pro shingles as part of the full Integrity Roofing System.
Penfield homes experience heavy lake effect snow and repeated freeze-thaw cycles through winter. Proper edge protection and ventilation were critical components of this installation to reduce future ice dam risk and extend shingle performance.
Materials Installed
- CertainTeed Landmark Pro shingles
- Full CertainTeed Integrity Roofing System
- Ice and water barrier at eaves and valleys
- Ridge vent ventilation system
- New flashing at penetrations and roof transitions
On-Site Oversight
The owner-operator was present on site throughout the installation. The project was completed with controlled debris management and full property cleanup upon completion.
